Spelling
The spelling pass runs beside the rule checks. A dictionary finds the candidates and the AI confirms each one, so a proper noun, a brand or a word the dictionary does not know is not reported as a misspelling. Spelling runs for 67 languages. Where no dictionary exists yet (Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai and a few others) the AI alone looks for misspellings and the report says AI only with the language.
In the report
Confirmed misspellings are rows of the same report, under their own Spelling error type with their own group and filter box. Each shows the severity the AI set. Hits in locked segments sit under Out of scope and start hidden.
Spelling findings are never scored: they do not count toward the result or the score and never block a sign off.
While the pass is still running the report says Spelling: checking and rewrites itself when it finishes. In the Reports list a row shows the same while it runs, then a Spelling chip with the count when it confirmed at least one misspelling.
Switching it on
The profile decides whether spelling runs for its files, under Checks, Spelling, with the profile's own words. The Run page can switch it on or off for one check, and the API and the MCP server take the same choice; left out, the profile decides.
A report whose spelling line says off with a reason had no dictionary for the target language or no AI verification for that run.
A suffix after a tag
A suffix attached to a placeholder or a tag, such as a Turkish ending after a tag, is not a misspelling and is not flagged.
