QA by email
Each profile has an email address of its own, under Where files come from. Send a bilingual file to it as an attachment and the report comes back in the same thread.
Read the transcript
- QA by email. Mail a file, get the report back.
- 1. Open Where files come from and press Make my address. Each profile has its own.
- 2. Press Copy.
- 3. Send the file to that address. From your own mailbox, with the file attached.
- The reply comes back in the same thread. The result, example findings and Open the report.
- Open the report opens it in the app. The same report as any other check.
- Next: Read the report.
The workspace also has one address that takes any language pair, under Settings, Workspace, QA by email. The languages are read from the file, or from a pair written in the subject such as en-tr, and the profile for that pair runs. When the languages cannot be told, the general checks run and the reply says so. The reply names the profile that ran and the pair it used.
How it goes
- A workspace admin switches QA by email on for the workspace (Team and up). Each profile then shows its address under Where files come from, for example
[email protected]. - From your own mailbox, send the file as an attachment to the address. The sender has to be an active member of the workspace; the check knows who you are from your address.
- One normal check runs per supported attachment, with that profile. The reply arrives in the same thread with the result word, the critical count, the score and the report link. The reply never contains segment text.
Good to know
- A message with several attachments gets one check each and one reply.
- The reply tells you when a file could not be read or the sender is not a member, rather than staying silent.
- The run appears in Reports like any other, with email as its trigger. It counts against the AI allowance like any other check.
- Nothing is stored at the mail relay; the file is handled like an upload and removed within 24 hours. A workspace can agree a longer keep for its uploaded files with us; we set it per workspace. Security and privacy.
When nothing comes back
Check that you sent from the address you are a member with, that the attachment is a bilingual file and that the workspace has the feature on. Then tell us the time and the address you sent to, never the file.
